Glenvale

In the area where I live Stagecoach have swept in and taken off three main services to an Industrial Estate leaving many people without transport to their work. All this has been done with little consultion with the travelling public and even less publicity.

Glenvale provided us with a service and many people would welcome them
back no matter what state their buses were in. Stagecoach and their
super dupa new buses are of no use whatsoever to us.

HEYSHAM TRAVEL

This is the usual procedure with stagecoach.
I worked at heysham travel ( a small MTL depot near morecambe )
Our depot fell into stagecoach hands and within weeks we were closed down and sent to work at the stagecoach depot.Bus services stopped, passengers complained but nothing was done.

Stagecoach/Arriva

the so called big transport companies stagecoach and arriva are only interested in making profit, they say they care about passengers but, i have worked in the transport industry for over 25 years. In my opinion since de-regulation in 1986, the industry has got worse in relation to health & safety, running times (not enough to drive safely)and pay. Professional drivers (bus/coach drivers)should be earning at least £12 an hour, the bosses salary has risen dramatically in the last 10 years but, drivers and support workers pay have been static
