Cooper Group's Municipal Zone debut.
Waste vehicle supply specialists the Cooper Group will join the UK's major municipal vehicle makers and suppliers in the Municipal Zone for the first time at the 2007 CV Show on 24 to 26 April. "This year's Show will now include probably the widest range of waste collection and specialist street cleaning vehicles seen at any UK event," said David Crawford, CV Show sales manager. "We're delighted to see another really significant player in the Municipal Zone, which will be 20% bigger than last year and promises to delivery important business opportunities to exhibitors and visitors alike."

Sykes Pickavant return.
Sykes-Pickavant's new owners are taking a 100m2 island site to show it new product range, following the company's acquisition late last year. "This will be a welcome return after two years absence under the previous management," said David Crawford, CV Show sales manager.

Busy year for Volvo Loughborough.
Volvo says its coach and body paint shops at Loughborough had one of the busiest years to date in 2006, handling with over 250 vehicles, The facility does conversions, refurbishment and full vehicle paint jobs and last year's jobs included mechanical repairs, panel rework, seating specification changes, fitting drinks machine and toilets, accident repairs and other custom work.

100 Actros mini mixers for Amodeo.
Search Impex say it recently did a 100 strong fleet deal with South Wales haulier Amodeo Haulage Ltd. Amodeo specialises in mixer trucks working on daily and long term and contract hire to concrete and mortar suppliers in South Wales and South West England. "The order for the 6x4 Mercedes Actros , all as 1:50 scale diecast model concrete mixers came directly as a result of a meeting during last year's CV Show," said Jim Newsome, boss at Search Impex. "We'll be at the CV Show again this year, on stand 5703 and visitors will be able to see an impressive display of all the promotional model vehicles which have been commissioned during the last 12 months."

New tool for fleet buyers.
UK procurement firm GoProcure.com says it launched a new business directory and e-auction hosting service on Jan 22. "This allows fleet managers to use www.goprocure.com to post details of the vehicles they want on and invite suppliers to bid against each other for the sale'" says the firm's James Dickesns. "Vehicle suppliers can advertise for free on the directory and the system is easy to use, saves time and differs from its competitors in that it is instantly accessible and does not require expensive licences or software."

Renault Trucks and Nissan sign Maxity deal.
 Renault Trucks and Nissan say they've signed a distribution deal for the Renault Maxity light truck, confirming a announcement last February. The Maxity is due on sale in the UK this spring.
