CargoWise edi Joins CIFFA
CargoWise edi has recently joined the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) as an Associate Member.
CargoWise edi currently has several large global clients which have already gone live or are currently implementing the CargoWise ediEnterprise suite of software solutions, and CargoWise edi is rapidly expanding its activity in the Canadian marketplace. “We’re very enthusiastic about becoming members of CIFFA and expanding our global sales operations in the Canadian marketplace,” said Cris Arens, President of CargoWise edi. “Working in conjunction with CIFFA, we anticipate establishing an enhanced working relationship with our North American partners.”
The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association was founded in September 1948 in Montreal by a small group of freight forwarders who saw a need to create an industry association to meet the professional demands of its members. Its mission is to represent and support members of the Canadian international freight forwarding industry by providing the highest level of quality and professional services to their clients.
Over the years, recognition of CIFFA and its members has grown due to its ongoing efforts to professionalize the activities of the freight forwarding industry in Canada. The Association’s members adhere to recognized standard trading conditions, have forwarders liability insurance including errors and omissions, and have access to a training program through the CIFFA education system to ensure the professional quality of their staff in the areas of logistics, statutory compliance, risk management, finance and payment and the cross functional integration of systems.
“CIFFA is pleased to welcome a service provider of the caliber of CargoWise edi to our roster of Associate Members,” said Ruth Snowden, Executive Director of CIFFA. “The 220 regular member firms that comprise CIFFA rely on such Associate Members to help them serve customers across Canada and around the globe.”
