CEVA Logistics celebrates fundraising success

Document Actions
Employees working for leading supply chain provider CEVA Logistics have been busy generating much-needed cash for good causes.
Their fundraising efforts resulted in a donation of £49,800, being split between the company’s three nominated charities:  Macmillan Cancer Relief, the British Heart Foundation and Transaid.  To mark the occasion a presentation photoshoot was held at CEVA’s UK head office in Ashby.

On behalf of Macmillan Cancer Relief, Bernadette Halton said: “I would like to thank everyone at CEVA for their very generous donation of £16,600. CEVA has been a very supportive company to Macmillan over the years and we are so grateful that they are continuing their support again this year.”

Chris Saunders, CEO, Transaid said “We are delighted that CEVA Logistics has chosen to support Transaid this year. We really appreciate the efforts CEVA staff put into raising funds for us.  Those of you who know of our work will understand the importance and impact of improving transport management and logistics in the countries where we work.”

Donna Stokes, British Heart Foundation said:  This is the second year that employees of CEVA Logistics have supported the British Heart Foundation and I am delighted with their continued support. The BHF is totally committed to preventing people’s lives being devastated by heart disease.”

The scope of CEVA’s 2007 fundraising activities included sponsored events taking place throughout the UK.  Two major events helped to boost the proceeds: a longest day golf challenge, and the “Fantasticable” a hair-raising team challenge in the French Alps.  The golf raised £11,000 and the “Fantasticable” generated £6,200.

Plans are underway this year for a Mid Summer Madness Golf Challenge.  The event is scheduled for 18 June, at the Warwickshire’s flagship course in Leek Wootton.  Any companies interested in entering a team should contact Richard Catley on 01530 568775.

Rupert Nichols, Director, and fundraising trustee says: “CEVA people are very passionate about supporting worthy causes.    Every year we raise thousands of pounds, supporting the excellent work that charities carry out here in the UK and overseas.”
