the drivers will come from abroad as most of the British workforce seems to be recruited from these days.
the costs will be passed on to customers and then onto consumers. our wages will remain the same but our cost of living will inevitably increase due to the fact that everything we buy is delivered by us in the first place.
the government will not step in to help us as this is yet another way of forcing the Brits to emigrate and have our places filled by people from other countries and this will give our PM a very high popularity boost in the eyes of the rest of the world leaders for being so accomodating and charitable to their people.
