I have just recently passed my lgv test and did at one time believe the figure of 60.000 drivers short in this country, well if that is the case why for the last 4 months have i been constantly been told sorry we dont take on anyone with less than 2 years experience.and that is phoning on average 5-6 agencies every week and phoning and writing to around 3-4 firms every week.as for tachographs well my instructor spared at least 60 seconds on it.I am at present trying to locate a website explaining what the different readings mean on a tacho as some wanker wants to know on application form for a possible job.glad i work for myself.
