RHA has big plans for CV Show

Document Actions
The Road Haulage Association (RHA) is one of the show partners for the Commercial Vehicle Show in April this year and they are planning to provide a comprehensive range of information services on the day.

RHA membership continues to grow and currently represents the voice of approximately 10,000 members who between them operate 85,000 vehicles. That means that today, one in five HGVs travelling on UK roads is operated by an RHA member. Operating margins have never been as tight as they are today and the RHA, together with its team of Business Partners, is doing everything possible to help in literally ALL areas.

The Road Transport Directive represents the biggest ever change in working practices for the road haulage industry. In order to make the transition as easy and  painless as possible, RHA Computer Services will be demonstrating RTD2; a simple system that can keep an accurate record of hours worked, regardless of the number of drivers involved. And the only equipment needed is a mobile phone. And the cost? £1.00 per week per employee. Now that really IS a good investment!

One of the best ways of keeping in touch with the industry and our members is through the Association's own house magazine Roadway which is being re-launched just in time for the Show. The new magazine will be bigger, brighter, have the latest news, views and comment on every aspect and from every area of the industry.

The Association's experts will be providing advice and information. Training, working time, health and safety, employment issues and technical help. If there's a particular question that needs particular attention, RHA experts will be on hand for one-to-one help and advice sessions.

There will be a big emphasis on training at this year's Show and the Road Haulage Association will certainly be playing its part. RHA National Training can be found on Stand 220 in the Skills Centre in Hall 10 where Paul Benns and Chris Seaton will be on hand to advise people on the wide range of training available.
