Scania Supports Smarthaul to Aid the Haulier
Smarthaul International Limited, a member of the Mpower1 group of companies (www.mpower1.com) has an arrangement with Her Majesty's Stationery Office to notify Smarthaul of all legislation and regulation as it is published to maintain a library containing the most up-to-date legislative information.
This resource can be accessed through www.smarthaul.com, a powerful online service designed to provide operators with an easy-to-use, single source of reference. As a fail-safe, the system employs advanced document-management software to ensure only the latest versions of publications can be viewed. A subscription to Smarthaul costs £47 per month.
In addition to providing subscribers with current legal documentation, Smarthaul also acts as an information portal, enabling hauliers to locate specialised suppliers and truckstops, benefit from special offers, view industry news and participate in a discussion forum.
Tim Pugh Business Development Director Scania (Great Britain) Limited comments, "Scania has a long-held interest in promoting safety at every level. From the operator's point-of-view there is no better way to begin than by having the very latest legal information at your fingertips, hence our association with Smarthaul."
Adrian Elmer, who conceived Smarthaul, has worked in transport as a driver, owner-operator and manager and is thus well versed in the issues facing operators in the 21st century.
"In creating Smarthaul we are determined not only to keep hauliers and haulage companies legal, but also make sure they can benefit from the latest industry news and offers which can help increase their revenues,” he says.
