As a fail-safe, the system employs advanced document-management software to ensure only the latest versions of publications can be viewed. A subscription to Smarthaul costs £47 per month.

In addition to providing subscribers with current legal documentation, Smarthaul also acts as an information portal, enabling hauliers to locate specialised suppliers and truckstops, benefit from special offers, view industry news and participate in a discussion forum.
