On-line 24/7 Fleet Insurance With GPS Saves Time & Money

Document Actions
Armour Fleet-Trac combines fleet insurance and telematic technology. This offers commercial vehicle operators new and unique 24/7 on-line insurance access with real-time vehicle location.

Operators get journey reports, fuel consumption, driver profiles, risk management, fleet data control, stolen-vehicle tracking and a comprehensive fleet reporting suite.

Armour Fleet-Trac aims to reduce fleet insurance costs and offer financial savings and can be seen at the CV Show from Armour Fleet-Trac, Stand 3360, Arena Zone CVS.

Operators get the full flexibility of adding or removing fleet vehicles automatically on-line and achieving Motor Insurance Database compliancy (MID).

As all insurance premiums are based on claims experience, Armour Fleet-Trac offers a full vehicle and driver risk management facility to assist in reducing possible claims.

By using this new on-line system, operators with one to hundreds of vehicles and especially with O-Licences, keep themselves insured, legal and compliant with regulatory requirements.

This unique product from Armour Fleet-Trac is to be launched at the 2006 CV Show, comes from collaboration, input and services from three partners.

Fleet vehicle location and performance details come through GPS vehicle tracking by Vari-Trac.

Insurance services and products are provided by Corporate Insurance Partners (CIP), underwritten by a leading UK insurer and vehicle history and driver allocation data management files are from Trace Systems.

All insured vehicles are installed with a simple GPS black box. Once fitted, operators can immediately see the location and performance of any of their fleet vehicles on any Internet web browser from anywhere without needing any new software or hardware.

"Having been involved in fleet insurance schemes for many years I know from experience its importance and problems associated with fleet management from an operator's perspective.

"We always need to know: What insurance policy do I need? How do I manage my fleet? Where are my vehicles located right now? How do I comply with all the regulations?" said John Kowalyk, managing director, Armour Fleet-Trac.

Mr Kowalyk pointed out that traditional policies never quite offer total operator control of premiums, knowledge of actual location of drivers and vehicles on the fleet at any one time.

In his view, live data information access on vehicles is the key to the many benefits that Armour Fleet-Trac offers businesses.

He summarised Armour Fleet-Trac as, "A unique on-line combined insurance and management solution for risk management, compliancy, meeting regulatory requirements, maintaining and insuring fleets 24/7 in real time while reducing costs and offering financial savings throughout an operation"
