Trumac "Surv’s" up New Vehicle for Vegetable Distribution
As part of its recent diversification into refrigerated distribution, Sussex-based company Euro-Surv has recently taken delivery of a second refrigerated vehicle for this new and growing business service.
The latest addition to the fleet is a Iveco Daily 35S12 panel van which features a single compartment Trumac van conversion and is being used for the distribution of vegetables across the UK. With a Hubbard 360AM refrigeration system, the Trumac conversion has been designed to maintain internal body temperature at + 4° C, during a delivery cycle that requires a maximum of six door openings per day.
Euro-Surv was established in 1974 and this Selsey –based family company is involved in courier delivery, home delivery, removal and storage services. Latterly, the company has spread its wings to incorporate refrigerated distribution into its potfolio of services and this particular vehicle is being used to distribute lettuce on behalf of local company Natures Way Foods.
On a regular high mileage operation, the Trumac bodied Iveco runs daily from Sussex to Worksop in Nottinghamshire, as well as to other locations in the North West and Scotland. Euro-Surv anticipate running vehicle for a maximum of three years.
According to Mark Floyd, Managing Director at Euro-Surv, "We acquired this latest Iveco distribution panel van from our local dealer Pitter Commercials and they recommended that we specified a Trumac refrigerated van conversion for this particular intensive operation. Now that the vehicle is in regular service, we are extremely pleased with the Trumac conversion as it easily maintains temperature to our requirements ensuring the quality standard of the load being carried is fully maintained throughout the distribution cycle."
