Citroën’s new LCV range will be on show at the UK Motor Show (ExCeL, London, July 22 – August 3 2008) in the What Van Live section.
New Nemo
New Nemo
Here Citroën’s newly launched Nemo and Berlingo vans will be shown alongside the recently launched Dispatch and Relay ranges. For the first time at the ExCeL-based Motor Show all these vehicles will be available both for inspection and to test drive in the What Van Live section by show visitors.

Robert Handyside, Citroën’s commercial vehicle operations manager, comments, "The What Van Live section at the London Motor Show provides an ideal opportunity to experience the exciting new, six-strong Citroën LCV range. Where better to test the urban credentials of the new Nemo, the space and innovation of the new Berlingo range and the sheer practicality and efficiency of the larger Dispatch and Relay models?"

The six-strong Citroën LCV range – which, with Ready to Run models, now includes over 150 individual models – is one of the largest and most technically advanced offered by any manufacturer in the UK. This exceptional choice of vehicles, ranging from the newly enhanced C2 Enterprise, new Nemo, new Berlingo First, new Berlingo and Dispatch and Relay ranges offers an unrivalled choice of competitively priced LCVs in the up to 4.05 tonne gvw sector.

Available to assess and drive at the Motor Show will be a selection of models from the new Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay ranges:

New Citroën Nemo

The four-strong Nemo range is offered with a choice of a low CO2 119g/km 1.4HDi 70hp diesel or a 1.4i 75hp petrol engine and two trim levels (X and LX) with prices starting from just £7,995 + VAT + delivery.

Nemo earns its designation as the smallest, biggest van as it has internal load compartment dimensions and a payload capacity equal to or better than many larger high-cube vans. The 3.86m long Nemo has a 9.95m turning-circle, a 2.5cu.m load compartment and a 610kg payload.

In standard format Nemo has a load deck length of 1520mm, a width between arches of 1050mm and an internal load height of 1180mm. With the Extenso® passenger seat option the load compartment volume can be increased to 2.8cu.m and the load deck length to nearly 2.5m.

Both engines used in the Nemo have long service intervals of 20,000 miles or two years. SensoDrive, Citroën’s clutchless, automated manual transmission is also available with the 1.4HDi engine. This option delivers all the benefits of a conventional automatic transmission, with the fuel economy and low 119g/km CO2 emissions characteristics of the Nemo with a manual gearbox.

New Berlingo

The new, larger Berlingo offers many unique benefits, including, for the first time in this sector, standard fitment, on all except the entry level Berlingo X 1.6i, of Trafficmaster Smartnav and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking systems. Priced from £10,395 + VAT + delivery, two versions (L1 and L2) of the new Berlingo are available.

Compared with the original Berlingo, the L1 model is 240mm longer at 4380mm overall length and 80mm wider, with a wheelbase that is 350mm longer. These increased overall dimensions result in the new Berlingo L1 having a load compartment volume of 3.3cu.m, while the L2 model has a 3.7cu.m capacity load compartment. New Berlingo payloads are 625 or 850kg for the L1 and 750kg for the L2 version.

The new Berlingo LX’s load carrying versatility is further enhanced with Citroën’s innovative modular Extenso® cabin option. This provides the ability to seat a driver and two passengers, thanks to a middle seat for occasional use. With the Extenso® cabin option the outer passenger seat can be folded away to enable loads of 3.0m or more in length to be carried.

The outer passenger seat can also be configured so that its seat cushion can be raised vertically against the seat back, to enable tall items to be carried on the cab floor next to the driver. With the Extenso® cabin, the load space of new Berlingo is increased by 0.4cu.m to give a total load volume of 3.7cu.m for the L1 and 4.1cu.m for the L2 model. In two-seater format the passenger seat back folds flat onto the seat squab to provide a load carrying platform for longer lengths.

Standard Berlingo equipment includes a stereo radio/CD player, trip computer, central locking, electric front windows and internally adjustable door mirrors. Berlingo LX models have remote central locking, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and an external temperature sensor.

New Berlingo power choice includes three engines. For dual fuel conversion, new Berlingo is offered with a 90hp (66kW) 1.6i 16V petrol engine and the proven 1.6HDi engine is offered in both 75hp (55kW) and 90hp (66kW) formats.
