Lifetime Cost Savings From Yale's New Veracitor

Document Actions
Yale has launched the Veracitor GDP/GLP 40 – 55VX series to offer engine powered counterbalance lift truck users a product in the 4.0 – 5.5 tonne lifting capacity segment that delivers exceptional performance, market leading ergonomics, enviable lift time cost saving benefits and leading edge technology.

With the addition of this series, Yale now offers the Veracitor VX lift truck, featuring the World's most advanced powershift Techtronix transmission, in 1.6 to 5.5 tonne capacity ranges.

Available with either diesel or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) engines the, Veracitor GDP/GLP 40 – 55VX series is offered in three configurations. Determined by the transmission, the new series offers customers the most appropriate lift truck for their application whilst delivering exceptional lifetime cost savings.

For use primarily in standard-duty applications the Veracitor VX Base model employs the Techtronix 100 transmission, with 1 forward and 1 reverse speed. This model has drum brakes and cowl mounted levers as standard, and maintenance free oil immersed brakes and e-hydraulic Accutouch mini levers as an option.

For standard and medium-duty applications, the Veracitor VX Value configuration utilises the Techtronix 100X transmission, which has 2 forward and 1 reverse speeds. This truck features drum brakes as standard, with maintenance free oil immersed brakes available as an option on selected capacity models. E-hydraulic Accutouch mini levers are standard, and optional cowl mounted levers and Palmtech joystick are available.

Medium to heavy-duty applications are ideally suited to the Veracitor Productivity truck, which features the world's most advanced powershift transmission; the Techtronix 200X which has a wide range of extended features including:

  • Dynamic auto deceleration system (DADS)
  • Throttle response management (TRM)
  • Auto-speed hydraulics (ASH) with automatic inching control.

This configuration, which features oil immersed brakes and ehydraulics Accutouch mini levers as standard, or Palmtech joystick as on option, provides all of the benefits associated with a hydrodynamic transmission lift truck together with many of the operating characteristics normally associated with an electric or hydrostatic truck in a package that delivers significant life time cost benefits for lift truck users.

Yale Europe's Veracitor GDP/GLP 40 – 55VX meets the demands of customers throughout the manufacturing, logistics and distribution industries, through increased productivity and dependability, world-class ergonomics, lowest cost of ownership and improved serviceability.

Performance is delivered by a 4.5 litre, 4 cylinder, 16-valve Cummins diesel engine or a 4.3 litre, V6 GM LPG engine. Both of these powerful engines with low speed torque offer 500 hour service intervals.

The unique Techtronix Transmission improves productivity. The 100, 100X and 200X configurations feature heavy duty clutch packs, electronic inching, controlled power reversal, controlled roll back on ramps and an Auto Deceleration System (ADS), which reduces brake use and wear, by providing transmission braking of the truck when the driver lifts his foot of the accelerator pedal.

The Techtronix 200X features a dynamic form of ADS called DADS (Dynamic Auto Deceleration System). With this system the rate of deceleration by the transmission's clutch packs is determined by and directly proportional to the rate at which the operator releases his foot from the accelerator pedal; fast release gives strong braking and slow release soft braking.

As 4.0-5.5 tonne trucks as a rule operate in heavier duty applications, Yale has equipped the range with the Combi cooler radiator as standard, which minimises the possibility of overheating increasing the uptime of the truck.

The range also benefits from Continuous Stability Enhancement (CSE), a fully maintenance-free mechanical stability system that ensures all wheels remain on the ground even when travelling over uneven surfaces.

Dependability is achieved by the durable Techtronix transmissions which reduce wear to tyres and brakes as well as strain on the power train.

In the important area of ergonomics, the range has been designed to ensure driver fatigue is reduced through easy cab entry and exit. The new, strain free E-Hydraulic controls – standard Accutouch Mini-levers and the optional Palmtech Joystick – have been mounted on an adjustable armrest to significantly reduce muscle and joint strain.

Yale has taken great care to ensure the range is also easy to operate in reverse by locating a horn button on the rear pillar drive handle, which means the driver does not need to turn round to locate the horn button when operating the truck in reverse, improving safety and reducing driver back strain.

With its world-class dependability the Veracitor GDP/GLP 40 – 55VX series also has fewer unscheduled repairs. Its rugged power train combines the new engines and transmissions to provide long-term dependability.

Simplified electrical systems and components such as a CANbus system, Hall-Effect sensors and switches, IP66 rated connectors and long life LED warning and signal lights reduce maintenance costs as there are no replacements required.

Periodic maintenance, accessibility is made easy by a one-piece hood - the widest opening hood in the market.
