DAF Trucks Choose Greenchem for Adblue Supply

Document Actions
Every new DAF Trucks Euro 4 and Euro 5 product will be supplied with AdBlue from GreenChem AdBlue Solutions before it is delivered to its new owner.

This follows GreenChem's appointment as 'first fill' supplier to both the DAF Trucks assembly plant in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and to Leyland Trucks in the UK. The Leyland plant produces all of DAF's 18 tonnes and below trucks - the DAF LF range - as well as all right hand drive models from the larger DAF CF family.

The relationship between DAF and GreenChem began in 2004 when GreenChem supported hundreds of Euro 4 and 5 trial vehicles in pilot use across Europe with in-country supplies of AdBlue. These vehicles amassed millions of kilometres of trouble free running.

Now both the Eindhoven and Leyland plants have 20,000 litre supply facilities holding AdBlue, the urea-based solution which trucks using SCR technology require to achieve the new emissions regulations. (Most major truck makers have opted for SCR and AdBlue at Euro 4 and it now appears that all will offer the technology at Euro 5.)

In addition to delivering AdBlue for new DAF Trucks, GreenChem is also supplying DAF's TRP aftermarket programme with AdBlue.

Teun de Bruijn, Managing Director of GreenChem, said: "The conclusion of these agreements mean that one of Europe's largest and fastest growing truck brands, DAF, is reliant on not only on our product but also on our in-service back up and support. As the only AdBlue supplier totally focused on this market this is not surprising to us but it does reflect both the professionalism of our company and the ultimate quality of our AdBlue".

GreenChem is focussing on providing truck and bus operators and manufacturers with AdBlue in more than 20 European countries.
