The Stralis Active Time (AT190S31/P) features a high roof sleeper cab and has been fitted with a curtainside body supplied by G Broughton & Sons.  It joins a mixed fleet of 31 vehicles, comprising a full line-up of commercial vehicles ranging from panel vans through to maximum weight tractor units.

John Reid Trucking purchased the Stralis from NETV, the UK's largest independent commercial vehicle distributor, based on its previous experience of operating the same model, with this latest fleet replacement intended for long-distance UK distribution work and expected to cover approximately 140,000 km per year.

"NETV has been a supplier to us for over 10 years, and we know them to be dependable and well-equipped to provide a back-up service which is second-to- none," says John Reid, Managing Director.  "The Stralis has also proven itself to be a very capable fleet truck, and our drivers particularly like the cab as it offers plenty of space and comfort for nights away from home."

The new Stralis, which is finished in the company's distinctive blue and white livery, will be based at the company's main site in Brigg, North Lincolnshire and serviced at NETV's dealership in Immingham - one of its seven Iveco dealerships across the North and North East of England.

"We specified an extended range fuel tank to help eliminate unnecessary fuel-stops, making it ideal for long distance transportation," adds Mr Reid.
