Man TGX presented with Fleet Transport Irish Truck Of The Year Award

Document Actions
The new MAN TGX has received the highest percentage of votes to win the 2008 Fleet Transport Irish Truck of the Year Award (in association with Castrol).
According to the four-member adjudication panel the MAN TGX (which secured 41 per cent of the total marks) is vastly improved over its predecessor the TGA. All agreed that the TGX 26.480 6x2 presented to the jury is a pleasure to drive. Excellent visibility and first class driving position allied to easy-to-use switchgear were also cited as plus factors of this new flagship model from the TG Series. “Its interior gives off a warm and comfortable ambience while its exterior styling creates a professional image for the owner and driver,” stated one panel member. “The smoothness of the 12 speed Tipmatic will do a lot to promote increased use of automatic transmissions,” said another.

Five trucks that were launched during the course of 2007 were in contention for the main prize – Hino 300 Series, Iveco Stralis, Iveco Trakker, MAN TGX and Renault Premium Lander.

2 Iveco Stralis  27%
