Ryder helps Sunfresh Bakers meet 24/7 schedules
he delivery, by Ryder, of four specialist 13ton box vans to Sunfresh Bakers has seen the Ashton under Lyne baker finalise the outsourcing of its delivery fleet entirely to Ryder.
The new trucks will join existing Ryder vehicles in the fleet delivering to wholesale outlets throughout the UK.
“We switched part of the fleet to Ryder eight years ago as being a nationwide operation they can provide breakdown and emergency service anywhere across the UK,” comments Mark Taylor, Sunfresh Bakers’ sales director. “Most of our business is based on providing reliable and time-sensitive deliveries to supermarkets, schools, hospitals and sandwich bars on a 24/7 basis and Ryder has continued to impress us over the years with the high quality of service it provides, which ensures that we always meet our delivery deadlines.”
“The contract hire of delivery vehicles takes away the headache of running a distribution fleet. In addition, the vehicles are no longer an asset to worry about and we don’t have the hassle of selling them after we have finished with them. Best of all, by going down the contract hire route we always have modern, efficient and reliable vehicles.”
