Mobile Van n Tan
The van's interior has been fitted with a St. Tropez spray tanning booth, allowing the company to drive a 'mobile beauty salon' directly to a customer's doorstep or place of work. It also features a private reception area which, due to the Renault Master's low floor height, is easily accessible for customers. The company has already taken delivery of one of the vans, through Renault Trucks London and plans to have three Renault Masters on the road by the end of the year.
A spokeswoman for Vanair says: "Self tanning is the most popular beauty treatment in the UK as people have become more aware of the dangers of sunbathing and sun beds. In this day and age, however, people are juggling work and family and haven't got time to visit a salon. By having the tanning booth come to them, they can get a healthy tan with minimum effort."
The company cites the Renault Master as an ideal vehicle for its service, "We chose the Renault Master as it combines a spacious interior, for a luxurious salon experience, with great manoeuvrability for ease of access to business locations and along residential streets and driveways."
Vanair has chosen to install the latest St. Tropez 'Airport' tanning booth which is designed to evenly spray a customer with atomised St. Tropez Bronzing Mist. After application, the client stands in a warm air stream inside the booth to allow the tan to dry instantly, leaving them free to put clothes on without staining. The whole process takes about 15 minutes, ideal for busy clients to get a tan in their lunch break or after work. Lloyd Naake at St. Tropez says, "It's a unique concept and I am looking forward to seeing its success."
