IDS Distributes Air1 in Its European Adblue Network

Document Actions
Yara International and International Diesel Service (IDS), an operating division of Kuwait Petroleum (Q8), have signed an agreement for the distribution of AdBlue in Europe.

Yara's branded AdBlue product, Air1®, will be offered 24/7 on a range of strategically located IDS filling stations across Europe. AdBlue is a urea solution used to reduce NOx emissions from heavy-duty vehicles in order to meet the new European Union standards that came into effect in October 2006. The agreement is an important milestone in the establishment of an infrastructure for the distribution of AdBlue on the road.

European truck drivers will find Air1® on IDS' filling stations next to international haulage routes, frontier posts and at important transport and trading centres in 18 countries. The stations are unmanned and operate as 24/7 automats with competitive prices. IDS operates 640 filling stations on the whole continent from the north of Sweden to the south of Italy.

Ulrich Gilles, International Diesel Service Manager Europe, welcomes the agreement that "will allow IDS to develop AdBlue facilities in line with the projected growth in demand". Yara also looks forward to contributing to the rollout of the AdBlue distribution network in Europe. According to Rolf Isberg, Air1 Program Director at Yara, "Yara has an unrivalled expertise in installing and maintaining Air1 installations at customer sites, which is a key success factor in the development of the AdBlue infrastructure".
