New trucks and why updating your website makes sense

Document Actions
It's a new Daf and apparently is the first CF65 in the country fitted with the optional roof skylights normally found on the XF105.
This one is operated by Southampton haulier Harris Transport and we think it looks rather splendid.

Whilst we're on the subject of Harris, it appears it's updated its website as well.

Now there are some awful websites out there in the transport industry: horrible, clunky efforts that seem to date from the dawn of time and have all the useability of a chocolate kettle. Harris's first effort fell broadly into that category but the latest incarnation is a vast improvement. The previous version was another old-style clunk-fest that had all the visual appeal of a dead goat. However the new one is infinitely improved - it's simple, easy to use and it looks good. Top work.

There's also this one from container haulier CEL Group. Its previous website ticked all the wrong boxes: it looked awful, was difficult to use and had all the style and panache usually associated with beige paint. However, the new site is a real visual gem - we particularly like the clever use of the video footage of the vintage truck which then turns into a modern scene. OK so we're not so keen on the temprorary filler text that litters the page, but, hey, it's a start.
