Biglorryblog has heavy haulage jinker fun in New Zealand. It doesn't bend but it will go around the corner...

Oh alright here are a few more 'Heavy' haulage pictures--this time from Rod in New Zealand who has sent me these shots of a 80-tonne 35m long bridge beam being shifted by an artic combination utilising what Rod assures me is a 'donkey jinker' helping out. By which I assume it's some kind of steerable rear bogie that operates independently.

Go-power is prpovided by this Caterpillar C15 550hp Freightliner Century Class 6x4 tractor rated for 120-tonne work--the beam will be used to go over a new motorway being constructed.

Steerable

Steerable 'jinker' looks more like something that would come out of a pod carried by Thunderbird 2. 'Driver' must be very short....
