Biglorryblog goes back to his old job next week. Shooting the new Scania Griffin with ace snapper Bryan Winstanley.
Now it's no secret that Biglorryblog started his career (if that's the right word) in the business way back in 1978 as 'junior' photographer on Commercial Motor working as understudy to the late great Richard Ross. Only somewhere along the line back in the mid-80s I figured out they paid journos more than snappers and jumped ship. However, on Monday and Tuesday I'll be 'back in the jug agane' as I have been persuaded to help out on the photo shoot of the new limited edition Scania 'Griffin' tractor with ace snapper Bryan Winstanley (that's one of his moody shots from 1998) who has shot all those wonderful Scania 'Hit theme song' ads as well. Yours truly is driving the truck down to a special location in Wales and I'll be reporting on the whole thing in the next edition of Truck & Driver which will also have a special memento of the occasion. Almost like old times....and naturally I'll be blogging on it too so if you've ever wondered how much work goes into an 'on location' truck photoshoot then stay tuned.
