Iam 59 now, and started driving at the age of 27 (hgv) at that time i was driving for a company in Lewes ,East Sussex, called Dor to Dor Carriers delivering parcels around Kent,I used to quite regular drive past Astans old yard in West Malling, seeing some dustie scania just back from a trip, and being realy envious . I did end up my self for 12 years driving abroad, but only as far as Split in Yugoslavia. and Rome Italy, In them days you needed quite a bit of knowledge, not any more though.But you still do for M East, and i still admire those drivers today, got a nice easy driving job now with BP.
