Fire! There's no smoke without it apparently..Biglorryblog ponders a false alarm
Some of BLB's regular viewers may be unaware that one of Commercial Motor's sister magazines is Flight International (aka Budgie News......)and I am grateful to Neil Gascoigne, Technical Support Analyst at Flight International's Rugby offices (and a regular Biglorryblog browser AND former employee of Volvo Trucks at Warwick) for providing me with the above picture which shows a couple of local Scania 94's fire engines attending a recent 'shout' (yes I know all the lingo..) at Flight's Rugby offices when the building's fire alarm was triggered.
Smoke was discovered in the basement and BA (breathing apparatus) gear was donned. However, Neil tells me it turned out that no one was in fact trying to burn RBI Flight-Rugby to the ground. Rather smoke was being drawn in from another source outside of the building into the ventilation ducts.
He ends his e-mail by saying: "Feel free to blog this one" Thanks Neil I have....
